– Following two weeks of discussion and brainstorming with USM, plans for a virtual technology expo in conjunction with the 11th International Conference on Robotics, Vision, Signal Processing, and Power Applications (RoViSP 2021) together with JobRewards are well underway.
Despite the disruption brought by Covid-19, USM has made the bold decision to carry on with RoViSP 2021. Taking a leap of faith, USM has also decided to be the first among its peers to bring this conference online, and thus making it available to a wider audience.
Given the good track record by JobRewards in its successful launch of the “Back To Work” online job fair, USM finds partnering with JobRewards in this upcoming conference and expo tremendously insightful, as JobRewards is able to contribute constructive technical ideas about taking things online.
The tech expo will target some of the giants in the field of innovation and technology. With the help of USM experts and JobRewards’s engineers, it is agreed that an AR virtual booth should be set up for all the participating companies. Visitors will be able to navigate their way to visit virtual booths or opt to interact with the booth owners.
Jobseekers may also grab this opportunity to seek for future engagement with the companies of their interests. Virtual interview rooms will be prepared for companies that are open for “on the spot” interviews. After browsing around, visitors can also visit the main event hall for the RoViSP 2021 conference.
“Since this is an international and an online event, we should not be restricting it to Malaysian companies only,” said JobRewards CEO, Adam Tan.
JobRewards plans to bring in as many international industry giants as possible, while USM will focus in reaching out to as many universities and institutes around Malaysia as well as interested parties in academia. Further developments on this project will begin in September together with the call for papers (CFP) by USM.
